The short version
SahiSalary is free to use, for anything, including work. There is no account, no payment and no subscription. In return we make no promise that the site is correct or available, and we are not responsible for what you do with a number you read here. If you would like the longer version, it is directly below and it is still short.
Using the site
You may use the calculators as often as you like, for personal or commercial purposes, and you may link to any page. Please do not attempt to break the site, scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people, or present it as your own product. Automated access at a polite rate is fine — the whole site is static files and a sitemap.
The numbers are estimates
Everything the calculators produce is an estimate derived from published law, with the assumptions stated on the page. It is not tax, financial or legal advice. The disclaimer sets out exactly what is and is not modelled, and the methodology page lists every source and the date it was last read. Read those before relying on anything here for a decision.
No warranty, limited liability
The site is provided as it is and as it is available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from an error in it. We take accuracy extremely seriously — that is the whole point of the project — but seriousness is not a warranty, and it would be dishonest to write one we cannot back.
What you may reuse
Statutes, rate schedules and official notifications are facts of law and nobody owns them, including us. Reuse the tax rates, the slabs and the professional-tax schedules freely. The site’s own prose, design, code and the way the datasets are organised are ours; if you want to republish a chunk of those, a link back is the whole ask.
Third-party links
We link out to statutes, gazettes and department schedules so you can check our working. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows — particularly if we ever add an account, a paid tool or an email list, none of which exist today. Changes are dated at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
